Do NOT shower before Wednesday! LOLÂ I need to hug the hug-ee of Kiefer!
From KiefersKates Blog, on meeting Kiefer in NY
Eventually I went outside to look out for L and got chatting to a guy who went in to get his coffee leaving his dog outside. The dog kept blocking the sidewalk so I went over to him and gave him a bit of attention, hence allowing people to pass and warming my hand at the same time
At some point I looked up and thought I saw a familiar figure… it was difficult at the time to be sure as it was just a ‘rear view’. Also, I was being distracted by having this dog’s nose buried in my crotch!
But sure enough, just as he turned to walk away in the opposite direction, I caught a glimpse of his profile and it was who I thought it was.
The delectable Mr Sutherland.
Sadly, by the time I had extricated the dogs nose from my nether regions, he had disappeared round the corner and I had no idea where he’d gone!
So I stood on the corner and vowed I would not move til he came back (I really really hoped he was coming back!!!
 )
L returned from her walk, pleased she’d found the venue, amazed I’d seen Kiefer but sooo cold she wasn’t going to stand on the corner with me to freeze her butt off even more so she went in and had yet more caffeine (I don’t think either of us are going to sleep tonight!!
 )
She came to check on me occasionally… I really wasn’t sure how long I would (or could) stand there for but I just felt it wasn’t time to give up just yet….
I’d woken up with a strange feeling I’d see him today and I just wasn’t willing to accept that that would be just a glimpse while I was being molested by some dog!
So there I stood, spinning round, as I had no idea which direction he’d come from and at least if I was moving I couldn’t freeze to the one spot on the sidewalk!
I waited an hour…. to be honest I think I knew I couldn’t really wait too much longer. My hands were numb and I couldn’t really feel my legs, never alone my feet!
But I still wasn’t ready to give up either. I just stood there mumbling ‘please come back’ please come back’
Then bugger me!!! He did!!!
Next thing I know he is walking towards me!!!! When he’d gone past the first time he had trackie bottoms (jogging pants) and a navy hoodie on. Now he was almost unrecognisable as he had the hood up… not surprisingly – he was most unsuitably dressed for the weather!!!
As he walked by I went for it and just said ‘Mr Sutherland’ to which he looked, smiled and said ‘hi’
I asked if he had a mo and he said he was really cold. I said I was too but just wanted to say how proud I was to be a fan of his! He asked me my name and when I told him hesaid ‘Hi, I’m Kiefer’!
He took my right hand in his left hand (his right hand was full) and said – ‘oh you’re colder than me’!!!!

I told him that thanks to him I was a HUGE Rocco fan and he responded ‘Oh! for that you get a hug’! and he hugged me!!!
I let him know I was going to see them in LA in a couple of weeks and his eyes widened ‘on the 7th , right?‘
I said ‘yes!! the 7th’ and he said ‘Oh I’ll be there - promise me you’ll come and say hello’ I assured him I would and he just repeated ‘promise me’!!!
By then we were both frozen!
. He asked me where I was from, we talked a bit about Wales and then we said goodbye.
It was short and sweet but absolutely exquisite.
He was so lovely, even though he was sooooo cold!
I shall definitely keep my promise but will understand if it doesn’t happen. He’ll be very busy that evening, I’m sure.
And that is it!!! My extraordinarily lucky meeting with Kiefer!!!
Has anyone else heard this nut speak? This is a discussion about Heath Ledger – Shirley Phelps-Roper is on the Kane podcast.

Welcome Home From Jail, Son! | PageSix.com
Nothing beats a father-son reunion for pulling on the ol’ heart strings. Well, except for maybe a mother-and-child reunion (just ask Paul Simon), or maybe a long-lost-lovers reunion (see: Atonement)…
Y’know what? Never mind. What’s important here is that Kiefer Sutherland hooked up for dinner with his dad, Donald, last night at the Brass Cap in Santa Monica. Reps for both father and son said that it was the first time the two had seen each other after Kiefer’s release from jail on Monday.
The Man Who Would Be Jack Bauer spent 48 days in jail at the state-of-the-art minimum security facility in Glendale, Calif., serving his sentence for a probation violation stemming from a DUI conviction. He “celebrated” Christmas, New Year’s and his 41st birthday while inside. His only visitor was his lawyer.

Refreshing to not have to do that again. I want to know, do you know anything about the future of 24? Is it coming back this year?
I don’t think they have any plans. I’ve heard all sorts of things; it’s dependent on the strike. If it ends soon, we’ll try to get back in there and finish them. Get on the air for sure. It’s definitely my hope that we’ll be able to go on time for next year. Maybe we’ll start earlier than January, or something. Then we can have our whole season seven. I guess we could air in the summer, do you think they’ll do that?
I’d love for them to air tomorrow if they could. How much of the season have you done?
We have eight episodes.
As fans of writer Beau Smith know, he likes action heroes, and he likes ‘em tough. From his recent action-packed Cobb: Off the Leash series to his time writing about boxer-turned-hero Wildcat for DC Comics, Smith has always been known for writing the toughest rough-hewn heroes who fight for the side of good.

‘Dirty Sexy’ offers darling roles for film stars Sutherland, Clayburgh – USATODAY.com
Donald Sutherland has acted as the father to fictional sons. He’d like to play the same role with his real offspring, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland. “Kiefer phoned me and got me to run out and buy a book” that could be the basis for a joint acting effort, the elder Sutherland says. “I’ve really wanted to play a father-and-son movie.”The two were in the 1996 film A Time to Kill but not in the same scenes. There also was talk Donald might play the evil father of Kiefer’s Jack Bauer in 24 last season, a role that went to James Cromwell. “I would not have been terribly happy playing a father who was trying to murder his son.”
Sutherland is proud of Kiefer and not pleased with the behavior of some folks in the aftermath of his son’s September drunken-driving arrest, but he won’t elaborate.
“You don’t want to get me going on this. All I can tell you is that he is the most honorable, responsible, decent man I know, and I love him with a passion,” Sutherland says. Kiefer, who will serve jail time after pleading no contest, “behaved in a way that was so pure and so perfect and so respectful. There are other elements in this community of ours that were less so, but he was perfect.”
